WHS Leadership Team
The Windsor High School Leadership Team acts as the primary decision-making body for Windsor High School, exclusive of decisions which fall under the purview of specifically designated personnel, the WUSD Board of Trustees, School Site Council or the Associated Student Body. Within the WHS Leadership Team is a subcommittee, called the School Site Council, which is comprised of members as required by the State.

The Windsor High School Leadership Team provides direction and clarity with regard to Windsor High School policies, and act as an advisory board to the WUSD Board of Trustees for policy decisions made by the district. It maintains and improves communications within the school and between school and community.

The purpose of the subcommittee known as the Windsor High School Site Council is to:

1. Develop and recommend to the Board of Trustees a plan for school improvement.
2. Review annually with the Principal, teachers, other school personnel, and students, the implementation and effectiveness of the School Improvement Plan, recommend changes or modifications in response to changing needs or priorities and adjust the budget accordingly.
3. Maintain and improve communications within the school and between the school and community.
4. Communicate to the Superintendent and the Board of Trustees the School Improvement Plan, the progress of implementation of the Plan, and the results of evaluation of the Plan components.
5. Perform other functions and duties as specified by the California Education Code.

The Council is a vital and important part of the school program. It is the body responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the School Improvement Plan. It is the Principal's responsibility, however, to administer and supervise the school program and staff (section 78.9 California Administrative Code) and the implementation of School Improvement Plan including all expenditures.
