I started my educational career twelve years ago in Windsor as a fifth
grade teacher at Brooks Elementary. After being encouraged to become an
administrator, I became a principal for an elementary school in
Fairfield, California. Although I enjoyed my work in Fairfield, my heart
and home remained steadfast in Sonoma County.
In 2004, I returned to the Windsor Unified School District as an
Vice Principal at Windsor High School and Principal for Windsor
Oaks Academy. For the past three years I have served as the Director of
Alternative Education developing programs to benefit learners of all
ages -- from infants to adults. I'm excited about my return to
Windsor High School and reconnecting with the staff, students, and
parents that have made my contributions to developing innovative
programs possible.
I look forward to helping develop and expand the unique program
opportunities that have made Windsor High School the high achieving and
recognized school that it is. When not at school, I can be found
enjoying
life at home with my son(Sean) and wife (Diane) -- who also serves
Windsor students as a speech therapist at Cali Calmecac Language
Academy.

Grades 9 & 11
I have been in the field of education for 18 years. I hold secondary credentials in English, art, social studies and chemistry. My master's degree in Education from Sonoma State University is in Curriculum and Instruction. Before coming to Windsor Unified, I taught in Santa Rosa City Schools where I started the successful ArtQuest program at Santa Rosa High School. In 1999 I joined the Windsor High School staff where I taught English in the Digital Communications Core for five years. This is my third year in administration. I believe that Windsor Unified School District has a vision which is forward thinking, progressive and inspirational. I truly believe that we offer the best secondary education for students in Sonoma County. My mission as an administrator is to serve students, parents, teachers and community stakeholders. Together we can create a school district that is student-centered and visionary. I invite all members of the community to help us realize this vision for students.

Grades 10 & 12
After six years as a mathematics teacher at Windsor High School, I am delighted to join the administrative team as Vice Principal. My faculty experience here affords me a 360-degree perspective on the needs of students, parents, and staff in the WHS community. As a WHS Site Council and District Finance Committee member, a developer of curriculum and achievement incentives and as a new teacher mentor, I’ve deepened my appreciation of the people and the resources that make our campus culture unique.
One of my goals is to remain visible on campus, visiting classrooms and making myself accessible. The finest educational experiences begin with an open door. I’ll keep mine open to help staff, students and parents solve problems. I enjoy the rich diversity of students and activities at Windsor High and in the community, and you will often find me at our sports matches and games, visual and performing arts venues, and enjoying events on the Windsor Town Green. I hope you will stop and say, “Hello,” anytime you see me.
