The Windsor Jaguar Troupe was created in the fall of 1995, seventeen years ago, (a total now of 35 productions under the direction* of Miss Julie Raven-Smart in the Windsor Unified School District).
Graduate of Loyola Marymount University and California State University of Sacramento, Miss Raven has won many awards in acting, set design, lighting, and was WHS's Teacher of the Year in 2000.  She has been seen acting on stage in several of Windsor's Shakespeare on the Green productions:  Twelfth Night; All's Well That End's Well & Romeo & Juliet.  Most recently in Cloverdale’s Performing Arts Center, as “Mrs. Gibbs” in the 2012 summer production of Our Town.

Many of the Jaguar Troupe’s trained actors and theater technicians have worked in college and community theater productions here in Sonoma County:

  • Windsor’s Shakespeare on the Green
  • Spreckles, Rohnert Park
  • 6th Street Playhouse, Santa Rosa
  • Actors for Children’s Theater (act), Santa Rosa
  • The Raven, Healdsburg
  • Cloverdale Performing Arts Center, Cloverdale
  • Santa Rosa Junior College, Santa Rosa
  • Sonoma State University, Rohnert Park
  • And WHS’s own Nueva, a performing arts 11/12 core

The troupe has an unique reputation for producing productions of intense and realistic acting and spectacular sets (inside the 3.5 million dollar theater that the community provided for the school) both of which defy the typical perception of high school productions:  The Lion in Winter, Wait Until Dark, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Oscar Wilde's Ideal Husband, Sabrina Fair, The Elephant Man, Dracula--the Dark Romeo, Neil Simon's Rumors...etc.
