The 7th Tenet

in the showplace of beauty and magic called theatre."

Recent Productions -

Once Upon A Mattress, the musical 2009

The story was a comic retelling of the fairy tale of the Princess & the Pea; although it first debuted in 1959, its modern humor might remind some of the recent Shrek films.

Brief background of previous productions:  Last year The Windsor Jaguar Troupe celebrated its 14th year, a total now of 32 productions under the direction of Miss Julie Raven in the Windsor Unified School District.

Graduate of Loyola Marymount University and California State University of Sacramento, Miss Raven has won many awards in acting, set design, lighting, and was WHS's Teacher of the Year in 2000.  The troupe has an unique reputation for producing productions of intense and realistic acting and spectacular sets (inside the 3.5 million dollar theater that the community provided for the school) both of which defy the typical perception of high school productions:  The Lion in Winter, Wait Until Dark, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Oscar Wilde's Ideal Husband, Sabrina Fair, The Elephant Man, Dracula--the Dark Romeo, Neil Simon's Rumors...etc

ALLIANCE WITH SHAKESPEARE ON THE GREEN

HISTORY
Founded by Jim De Priest and Steven David Martin in 2004, Shakespeare on the Green was formed to produce a summer Shakespeare festival, as well as provide outreach programs for the Windsor community and schools.

2010 Romeo & Juliet
Windsor Jaguar Troupe graduates and current students dominated the stage with a realistic, emotional, raw, loving & tender production of Romeo & Juliet.
Jordyn West WHS Graduate 2010 (Arial in Tempest summer of 2009) and Franco Tevini, long time troupe member of Shakespeare on the Green (WHS Graduate 2006) blessed our stage as Juliet & Romeo.

Shakespeare on the Green, Theatre on the Green usually auditions in January or February at the Windsor High Theatre.  1-2 min Shakespeare monologue performance required.
Miss Raven was asked to play the Nurse.  Jordyn, Franco along with other WHS theater students had a great time acting on stage with her.
