Sunny Bannick is a sophomore here at Windsor High. You might know her just as the girl who has a different hair color every two weeks with the vertical labret lip ring; but there is more to her than you would think. "I like to paint very elaborate portraits. [When at home] I paint my dressers, and paint accidentally splatters on the walls. I love thrift shopping; you must search for the best stores! I play guitar, but I'm just a beginner right now. Oh! I like to people-watch, just watch people like at the airport, its fun.   I like to burn incense, meditate, self-soothe, be mellow."

When asked about what her peers think of her and her friends, Sunny answered, "everyone thinks we're intimidating, and that we're crazy...okay we're a little crazy, but we're fun. They walk past us like we're going to beat them up. We're very accepting people, we give friendly offerings to people who walk past, but they just keep walking."

"I love animals. I strongly recommend deleting myspace. Yes, I have one, but I only like it because I can post my art albums...I enjoy going to shows, support local music! I like to frolic in the willows in Ferngully. Oh and I like to rub Buddha's belly, though I'm not Buddhist. I believe everyone should be open-minded to new places, new ideas."

Sunny is a character, and insane in the most wonderful way. People are quick to judge her by her appearance and actions. As a good friend of mine, she is one of the sweetest, most caring people I know. So if she yells at you when you pass by at lunch or break, don't be afraid to actually stop and talk to her. Like she said, her and her friends are very accepting people, you just have to accept them first.
