They say history repeats itself. Before and during World War II, the German Nazi party assembled and trained a group of youths to believe in their fascist views. They eventually had the vast majority of the young population of Germany as part of their group called the "Hitler Youth." The group commited violence and turned in people who didn't believe what the party told them. Today there is a similar situation being repeated in Africa.
Zimbabwe poses an undoubtedly impoverished life for its citizens is hard. There is a high unemployment level and many teens are unsure about their ability to get a job out of high school. Thousands turn to government training camps which promise their enrollees a paid job when they graduate from the camp. Therefore many kids see it as their only option to survive.
Once they join the camps they realize it's not all good. There are dogmatic lectures given to the youths to force the government's beliefs on the kids. They are then taught to act with force against whoever opposes their partisan beliefs.
The leaders of the group are said to be giving narcotics to the youths on a regular basis in order to instigate violent behavior. They are known to the public of Zimbabwe as the "Green Bombers." They have committed some of the worst acts of political violence in recent history. They often abuse their power as members of a government group and use those powers for their own personal gain. It is common for them to steal from citizens' homes, claiming such acts as government ordered. They physically assault people who disagree with them and even report on their own families to the party leaders. Some stories, although denied by group officials, say the Green Bombers have been responsible for numerous murders.
This horrible predicament that faces Zimbabwe demands that world citizens become educated and active with their own governments and international organizations. Its large volume and force make the Green Bombers' affect on Zimbabwe a daunting international crisis point.
