Sight gags and zinging parody litter this timely take-off

As the third installment of the well-known spoof movies, Meet the Spartans follows Date Movie and Epic Movie in making fun of recent pop culture moments. Without fail, Meet the Spartans manages to diss and make fun of many of the recent movies such as Stomp the Yard, Transformers, Rambo , and, in the main, the movie 300 . In addition, Spartans mercilessly disses the magazine divas (Brittany, Paris, and Lindsey), reality shows and the entertainment that they brought, including America's Next Top Models, Tyra, Dancing with the Stars, and American Idol's Paula, Simon, and Randy. Don't forget Sanjaya and that girl he made cry!

Overall, I personally thought that Meet the Spartans ranked better than its predecessor Epic Movie , but not as good as Date Movie . This is because with Date Movie , the plot is clear and the spoofs flow easily throughout. Meet the Spartans was quite close to this standard with far more laughs than what Epic Movie provided. Painted-on abs and the pit of death are a couple of the moments that contribute to the stupid hilarity of this movie.

Meet the Spartans is a hilarious parody of all of the popular movies and TV shows. This movie shows that you can have a sense of humor about pretty much anything. Carmen Electra makes yet another appearance in the parody line up including Scary Movie , this time with more screen time. This movie will satisfy all of the guys who love Carmen Electra in barely anything, and all of the girls that would like to see an especially hot guy in barely anything. If you want to laugh and are thirteen years or older, Meet the Spartans is the perfect movie for you to see. Movie tickets don't include painted-on abs. (When you see the movie, you will understand.)
