Although 2007 Windsor High football season has been somewhat disappointing, there have been many positive aspects to the season.   Head coach Jason Fayter has produced some very exciting new talent in the Windsor locker room and all arrows point to an excellent 2008 season.

This year has been somewhat of a rebuilding year for the Jags, losing many seniors from last year's playoff team.   However, the Jags have shown heart, teamwork, and a relentless desire to stay in ball games, showcasing what Jaguar football is all about.

Before the game at Analy, senior Silver Tapia was still hopeful,   "We must play as a team, and focus intently on our passing defense to prepare for one of the best quarterbacks in the league, in Analy's Davis Glass".   Even with the Jags mediocre record of 3-3, there was still slight chance if they won their final two games that they would sneak into the playoffs.

The offense was not a   problem for the Jags, putting up over 20 points a game.   Tapia comments that "the offense has been stellar, however we need to play tougher defense".

Joe Ramos, Senior Running Back, had been dominant since week 3 of the season, averaging an astounding 155 yards/game in that span. Although small, (5'6") Ramos, powers his ways through the line, exploiting linebackers, and finally taking apart the secondary.    Ramos has played a vital role on the team, and has been one of the best backs in Sonoma County.

Highlights consist of beating Maria Carillo in the opener lead by a whopping 313 total yards by Junior running back Garrett Kellough, including a dashing 95 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.   Windsor played shutdown defense when it counted, shutting out Carrillo in the fourth quarter capping a solid 33-17 victory.

Windsor came into the November 9 th meeting against Sonoma Valley as huge underdogs, however with the help of Senior star, Joe Ramos and a incredible run-stopping defense, the Jaguars overcame Sonoma Valley 25-13 in a stunning victory.

What a way to end the season!   We knew the Jag's had it in them.   Thank you for a hard fought season!

GO Jaguars!
