The big highlight of the 13 th annual XGames   was Jake Brown (a 33 year old pro skater) with an incredible fall from 50 feet. Jake Brown survived the devastating fall and still left with a second place Silver medal. The fall took place on the Big Air Contest. The mistake was him pulling out at the last second of the ramp, leaving him 50 feet in the air. He landed on his side, while his shoes fell off on impact. Both shoes. Injuries include: a bruised liver, a fractured wrist, a bruised lung, and the nickname 'Unbreakable'. He was released out of the hospital on August 4 th , 2 days after the accident, while walking on a cane the following week. By the end of the day, everyone was amazed that he got up and walked off after the accident.

Other small accidents of XGames 13 were Scott Murray's motocross crash (ruining his bike, canceling his second run).Murray's physical condition was not affected. Another loss would be Travis Pastrana and Christian Edstrom being disqualified in the Car Rally for a inadvernt collision 20 yards from the flag. Travis still won the bronze medal for the Xgames Rally Car racing.
