CONGRATULATIONS!
     Eight members of the Windsor High School Yearbook staff returned July 25th from the Walsworth NorCal Yearbook Camp at Sonoma State University. The students took classes and created the concept for this years book. They took home every award possible in the large school division. They retained the spirit award for the third straight year and the their theme for the 2012 book was rated number one of the more than 20 schools attending.

Senior Dedications Information:
Senior dedications are a wonderful and enduring expression of your feelings. Dedication forms are available inside the front office next to the Yearbook mailbox. Please email adviser David Beal with specific questions at dbeal@wusd.org.

YEARBOOK DEADLINE FOR SENIOR DEDICATIONS IS SEPTEMBER 16TH.
This includes deposit, photos and text.
Anyone submitting materials or payments after this date is not guaranteed space in the book.


Plan ahead!
Every year our staff is inundated with last minute requests- please allow enough time to gather and prepare your materials and submit them on time.

In the interest of maintaining consistent style and ensuring quality, please do not submit completed ads. Instead, submit each photo as a separate image, either as a hard copy or digitally and submit your text as a handwritten or printed hard copy, or as a word document on a CD with your digital images. Our Yearbook staff will create your dedication for you.

Submitting your materials:
If submitting hard copy images please do not cut photos with scissors, if cropping is needed add post-its to the image showing the areas you want cropped. We will scan all hard copy images, so please do not submit photos printed on plain paper.

If submitting digital images please burn a CD containing images that are at the highest quality possible.We prefer images saved as JPEGs or TIFF files that are at least 300 dpi in quality. Please do not submit bitmap (.BMP), Powerpoint (ppt), or other format files. Please note: No collages will be accepted. We will arrange the limited number of photos noted below. If the number of images you submit exceeds the maximum allowed, our staff will make editorial decisions, and place those images. Submit text separately for us to input – we will use the fonts that we have chosen for the dedication section, rather than any fonts you might submit. Please submit an amount of text proportional and appropriate for your ad space. Names should be clearly spelled EXACTLY how you want them to appear.
WHS Yearbook reserves the right to request alternate content or to refuse to print something that violates school standards regarding appropriate dress, language, substance abuse, gang affiliation, etc.
We strive for perfection, but we are human, too. If we make an error we will apologize, but we will not be liable for any compensatory printing.
Payment: a payment of at least $50 in the form of a check or cash (sorry, no credit card payments can be accepted) is due at the time your materials are submitted (on or before September 16th). If you do not submit your payment in full up front, the balance is due February 1st. Once you have made the deposit payment, that space in the yearbook has been reserved for your dedication and no refunds will be made.

Full Page Dedication           $300          up to 10 images
Half Page Dedication           $175          4-6 images
Quarter Page Dedication     $99             2-3 images

Proofs: We are the only staff in Northern California that sends an electronic proof to parents purchasing dedications. If you provide a legible version of your email address on your order form we will email you a proof of your finished dedication. You can then asks that changes be made, and we will do what we can to honor those requests.
  

SENIOR PICTURES
Please arrange to have your senior’s picture taken soon.  If your child does not submit a photo his/her picture will not be included in the yearbook.
You will need to submit one wallet-sized vertical photo (formal or informal pose) to the yearbook box in the front office in one of two formats: hard copy of a printed photo or on a CD in a JPEG format at least 300 dpi. If you make arrangements with one of the  photographers below to have your image emailed to the yearbook staff, it is the responsibility of each parent to make sure we have received an image of your child.
